Colorado Adventures

"Did you hear about the wild party at the haunted house? The whole vibe was anything ghost (goes)."

The last few weeks I have not been able to get Halloween off of my mind! The candy, the costumes, the weather, OH MY!! It's like it is the seasons way of getting rid of all the growdy old  to bring in the exciting new! A nice, beautiful, multi leaf colored slate being cleared of all the junk this summer has accumulated. 😊 What sort of junk are you excited to be cleared of this fall?

These pictures of Nathaniel and I in a hot springs pool were taken in the cutest little town called Idaho Springs, Colorado. We had woken up that morning with the intentions of doing as much as we possibly could in the short amount of time that we had left. Unfortunately, we were faced with over 8 hours of traffic that day, do to an avalanche on one of Denver's major highways. Causing us drive around in circles until it had finally cleared. (Fun fact: Colorado's professional ice hockey team is called The Colorado Avalanche's)

By the time we had finally arrived at the hot spring, we were already over it. But we decided to go in anyways since we were already there. And I am genuinely so glad we did! We ended up having a blast taking pictures and swimming around in the warm turquoise water.

Thankfully after a few hours of us driving each other crazy while being stuck in traffic. We pulled over to put our metaphorical knives away and to get a little fresh air while we stretched our legs. I honestly can't tell you exactly where we stopped. Probably somewhere between Denver and Golden CO, but the sun was setting in just the right way making the view even more incredible!

Colorado had me completely in awe of all the green that had slowly taken over! Also the weather was incredible! It was hot during the day, but once the sun started to set it began to cool down. I think that's when my fall vibes started to come out and got me all excited for sweater weather!

One of my friends had suggested that Nathaniel and I go to Union Station for breakfast in Downtown Denver. Sadly the entire station was so unbelievably packed that we just ended up purchasing a few pastries including Nathaniels first ever not so french macaroon! (Damn do I love firsts and french macaroons!) 😂  And walking a few blocks to one of the greatest beakfast places we've ever been to! They had THE BEST gluten free pancakes I have ever eaten. Mmm.. Just thinking about them is making me hungry..

On our very last day in Denver we packed up our belongings and headed to the Red Rock Amphitheater. (Which was only about 20 minutes from our Airbnb.) Once we gotten there we had to do some light hiking to get all the way to the theater, but to see it up close and in person made it so worth it! There were tons of locals running up and down the large wooden steps and a view that looked over all that Colorado had to offer. The next time we're in Denver we will definitely have to go watch a concert!

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day! 😊
