Hello! I genuinely hope you are having an incredible day today. If not. From here on out, make it a great day for yourself. You deserve it! ;) And hopefully the joke above helps a little too!
4 Fun and Exciting Date Nights Worth Trying
Recently I have discovered that I have a really bad habit of getting bored and tired of things way too quickly. Which completely differs from my significant other (aka Nathaniel.) Who can literally eat at the same place every day, order the same meal every time, while wearing the same outfits every week! Gosh I LOVE him, but I honestly don't know how he does it? (Talk about stability! Am I right ladies?!) Lol Any-who, because of our seemingly small differences, (That are actually pretty BIG, but we make due ;)) we tend to have to compromise when it comes to going on dates. Sometimes we simply go see a movie at our favorite theater while enjoying some popcorn with jalapenos. (The combination of the two are surprisingly delicious! If you try it, let me know what you think!) And other nights we like to mix things up and try something new together. Thankfully, we both love going on dates! I feel like it is a crucial part of any relationship to take time out of your crazy schedule and focus on that one person. (This can be your significant other, your children, or even a friend.) And It honestly gives things a nice little refresher. It also feels amazing to just be able to spend one on one time together and prioritize those few hours doing things we can actually both agree on! Haha
1. Arcade (A happy accident) - We had originally decided to go watch a movie at Santa Fe, but by the time we had gotten to the theater all of the tickets were sold out! Soo... instead, we made the best of what we were given and decided to wander around the casino until the next show time was available (In Vegas almost all movie theaters are based in a casino. I'm from a very small town so this was weird to me at first.) And we ended up finding our way into a small arcade attached to the bowling alley. Nathaniel tends to get super excited when we find a claw machines no matter where we are he stops and runs up to it. Lol After checking our pockets for any loose change we made the decision to just exchange a few dollars for tokens and went to town on that claw machine! At least until we were completely out of tokens. By the time we had run out we had already gotten the gaming bug and couldn't push dollars into the token machine quick enough! So, we finished our date night strong with a little bit of "friendly competition". FALSE!! If you know Nathaniel, you'll know there is no such thing! (If you know what show I am referring to, we're already best friends!) We actually ended up playing this very interactive Pirates of the Caribbean 3D type of game where we were on the same team and Nathaniel was STILL competing against me!! LMAO I secretly love it... 2. Roller Skating- I am going to start by sharing that I have always been a terrible skater. So I honestly have no idea why on earth I thought anything would be different this time?! Maybe since I'm technically an adult now and my mother was always an amazing skater. That maybe I thought I would somehow gain skating Spidey senses or something. Lol I don't know... long story short. I didn't. I'm still terrible, but I still had an AMAZING time! Our skating rink had a DJ that played music to the beat of the colorful disco lights as they bounced off of the walls surrounding us! Plus, I'll take any chance I can to grip onto Nathaniel for dear life. Lol
3. Hibachi- I really enjoyed this. I love watching people cook in front on me. Not that I'm a skeptical food consumer, because I'm really not. I probably should be though now that I think about it.. Anyways, I honestly just find it incredible how graceful they make it look while cooking extraordinarily simple things like fried rice and mixed vegetables!
4. Trampoline Park- I LOVE going on dates that involve a little bit of physical activity. It's kind of like a two-for-one! The night we chose to go I just hopped on Groupon, looked up trampoline parks, and ended up finding a place not too far from us for a great price. We only purchased an hour. Trust me though, it was more than enough time. In between all of the jumping, climbing, and laughing so hard our bellies started to hurt. We were completely beat, but it was so incredibly worth it and an extremely fun date I would highly recommend to anyone looking for something a little different from the usual movie night!
